Online Banking Launch – See What We’re Doing to Catch the Bugs!

Kindred Credit Union is excited to have launched our new and refreshed online banking on October 7, 2021. We’re pleased to continue to expand and improve our digital solutions, so more Ontarians can experience Banking with Purpose wherever they’re at!

As with most platform updates, there are usually a few ‘bugs’ and some formatting issues we’ll continue to work on. We’ve listed some known issues below, along with the resolution, and when we expect the fix to be implemented. If you happen to find an issue that isn’t on our list, please email us at member.voice@kindredcu.com so we can look into it. We’ve also included a Helpful Tips section to support you as you begin to use the new platform.

Known Issues:

1.

The link to download account information to QuickBooks is broken.
Resolution: QuickBooks has added the correct URL for Kindred in their bank list.
Status: Resolved October 14, 2021.

2.

Account Summary date field wraps to a second line if the description is too lengthy.
Resolution: Our online banking provider is aware of this issue.
Status: As of October 7, 2021, plans are in place to resolve this issue with a future upgrade (timing TBD).

3.

Help Topics still reflect our previous platform.
Resolution: Our online banking provider is aware of this issue.
Status: As of October 7, 2021, plans are in place to resolve this issue with a future upgrade in December.

Helpful Tips:

1.

Looking for account details such as your GIC term, LOC amount available, interest rate, maturity date?
You’ll find this information in the ‘Account Details’ drop down menu at the top of the Account Summary page.

2.

The option formerly called ‘Export to’ is now found under ‘Format’.
Click the ‘Format’ dropdown menu and you’ll find a number of viewing options and different ways to download /export your account summary details.

3.

Supported browsers include the latest versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
If you’re having trouble viewing items on the page, you can try updating your browser. Please note, Internet Explorer is no longer supported and some features of online banking will not work with this browser.

4.

The ‘Print Page’ link is no longer available — try Ctrl + P instead.
If you’d like to print your account activity in online banking you still have a few options. You can try the shortcut Ctrl + P from a PC or Command + P from a Mac. You can also select a file format from the ‘Format’ dropdown (ex. ‘Download to PDF’) and save your transactions to your computer. You can then open the file on your computer to print.

We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve these issues and improve online banking for our members.
